Marketplace API notices

TightPrints uses marketplace APIs for shop operations, reporting, and safer channel management. This page keeps the Etsy and eBay API notices in one place instead of placing legal copy in the footer on every storefront page.

Operational boundary Marketplace API access is not a storefront checkout path. Shopify remains the TightPrints store, and marketplace listing content is not overwritten from Shopify unless a specific owner-approved plan says exactly what will change.

The term 'Etsy' is a trademark of Etsy, Inc. This Application uses Etsy's API, but is not endorsed or certified by Etsy.

TightPrints uses Etsy API access for approved Etsy shop operations such as listing review, receipt review, and owner-approved Etsy updates.

TightPrints may use eBay APIs for seller operations such as order review, inventory reporting, and marketplace data checks.

Channel safety

How marketplace sync is handled

  • Shopify, Etsy, and eBay keep their own marketplace-specific listing copy.
  • eBay titles, descriptions, prices, images, shipping, and return rules are not overwritten from Shopify by default.
  • Etsy listing title, tag, description, and price updates require dry-run review and explicit confirmation before live changes.
  • Marketplace order and reporting reads are treated separately from live listing content writes.
Privacy

Marketplace order data

Marketplace order information is used only for operational order processing, support, reconciliation, and fraud/error review. TightPrints does not use marketplace API access as a public storefront checkout path.

Any buyer-identifying marketplace order data stored outside the marketplace platform should be covered by the store privacy policy and limited to what is needed for operations.
